Imagine waking up every morning, going to work, coming home, doing chores, waking up again the next day, and doing it all over again. It sounds like Groundhog Day doesn’t it? Sometimes it really feels like it.
In this crazy busy world that we live in, travelling is a must, and here is why.
1. Break the routine
Travelling forces you to see beyond your world and break out of your routine. Travel to a country that drives on the opposite side of the road like London, and see your routine go out the door. It makes you feel uncomfortable, but after a little while, it makes you feel alive. It’s different. It’s new. It’s exciting. It gets your juices flowing.
Travelling forces you to disconnect. Go to a country that doesn’t have Wi-Fi or even internet and see how you function. You realize that sometimes you take these luxuries for granted. After a while, you start talking to people, you pull out a hard map and ask for directions instead of asking Google Maps. After a while you become human again and realize how good it is to rely on only the bare essentials.
3. Learn something new
Travelling always forces you to learn something new; a new way to drive, a new way to navigate, a new language, a new food. You learn so many new things. And with every new thing that you learn, your mind expands. Your world expands. You learn more about people. As you share your travelling experiences with them, you really begin to connect with them.
4. Get creative
Travelling helps you bring back so much personal wealth and creativity, all of which you can give back to your business and your customers. You bring a fresh perspective with new ideas. Your customers will see the difference.
I love to travel. I make it a goal to travel at least once a year on a big adventure, with little adventures in between. Check out my other blog with some really cool pictures from my trip.
If you haven’t travelled this year, you should really consider it. It’s rejuvenating.
